Pastore: “The choice to join Roma was easy.”

John Solano

Roma midfielder Javier Pastore appeared this afternoon on Roma TV. These are his words:

Your initial feelings so far in the early go?
I’ve had nothing but good feeling, my teammates have been very kin. They are good guys and we’ve enjoyed some good time together, I’m getting to know everything from Trigoria to the pitches. It’s all spectacular and I’m taking advantage of it to train well and start the season better.

What convinced you to come to Roma?
When the chance arrived to come here, everyone knows Roma. The chance to get into such a strong team with a Mister who wants important things has been a huge motivation. I spoke with Balzaretti, I had him as a teammate and he spoke to me about the Roma project. The choice was easy, the city is magnificent with great fans. I hope to do well and win for the supporters.

You were the most expensive purchase of Ligue 1 when you arrived in Paris.
It was not easy to remain there because lots of players arrive and leave there, I was lucky to be there and play my matches. I have won many trophies, I am happy with the choices I have made in my career. This will be another.

Di Francesco’s mezz’ala runs really hard. How are you getting to know Di Francesco?
It’s a different job from what I was doing in Paris, it’s a different way of playing but I feel good. I’m training hard to get to do what he asks me. Then it’s a habit and I hope to be good physically like I am now and be 100% available.
