Roma announced today that midfielder Javier Pastore underwent successful hip surgery.
The procedure was performed by Professor Marc Tey in Barcelona and was completed successfully.
The midfielder’s recovery period will be assessed over the coming days.
Pastore has been hampered by injuries ever since joining the club in the summer of 2018 — as he is widely considered one of the biggest flops in the Roma’s recent history.
The ex-PSG star has made only 32 appearances for Roma since joining for a fee of €24.7 million.
Pastore has suffered seven different injuries since his arrival in the Italian capital and becoming increasingly likely that his time at the club will come to a close this summer when the transfer window reopens.
