Javier Pastore has yet to play for Roma this season and his nightmare tenure in the Italian capital continues on — two years since being brought to the club by former Sporting Director Ramon Monchi.
Whispers emerged over the last few days that the Giallorossi could try to terminate the Argentine’s deal with the club despite multiple seasons remaining on his contract.
Today, though, Pastore’s agent, Marcelo Simonian, spoke to LaRoma24 and denied the possibility that Roma would terminate his client’s contract with the club.
“It’s true that Javier is in Spain right now with the authorisation of the club,” said Simonian.
“The hypothesis of his contract being terminated isn’t true, though. The player will be at this disposal of the team beginning next week.”
Pastore has been plagued by injury issues ever since joining Roma from PSG in the summer of 2018.
