Roma shot stopper Pau Lopez wasn’t looking for excuses following today’s disastrous 2-0 loss to Parma.
The loss was a huge setback for the Giallorossi and their hopes of finishing in a top four place. Meanwhile, the 19th placed Gialloblu earned a massive result as they look to fend off relegation after an extremely difficult campaign.
“This match wasn’t very good, we struggled to get into their penalty area. We also conceded a completely avoidable goal, this changed everything,” he said to Roma TV.
“We did really well to score first and defend well in the last few matches, but the opposite happened today. I don’t think fatigue was the issue today, they were better than us.”
“The loss also wasn’t due to refereeing. Parma were better than us during the ninety minutes. The game changed completely once we conceded that early goal.”
