Pau Lopez: “I wasn’t going to leave Betis, but I couldn’t say no to Roma”.

John Solano

Roma goalkeeper Pau Lopez gave an interview today to the Instragam profile of bcnbest and discussed the resumption of Serie A as well as his move last summer to the Italian capital.

”I got injured three days after the resumption of training but I’m feeling better,” he said.

“I hope I’ll be ready to play soon, I’ve got to be patient. I hope we can do well in these final 12 games and hopefully reach our objective”.

“My arrival at Roma? I wasn’t going to leave Betis, my family was fine but then Roma came and I had the opportunity to play at a historic club that always goes to the Champions League, so it was difficult to say no”.

”There was a lot of money at stake and it was an excellent operation for Betis, too. I couldn’t say no to this experience at such a big and historic club. The fans and my teammates treated me very well. There are players like Dzeko, Pastore, Fazio and Kolarov here: it’s great sharing the dressing room with them”.
