Pau Lopez to undergo surgery on dislocated shoulder, out for three months

Pau Lopez’s season is over following the injury he suffered last Thursday at Old Trafford.

The Spaniard dislocated hi shoulder in the first half against Manchester United after making a spectacular save on Paulo Pogba and was forced off midway through the first half.

After undergoing multiple scans and examinations, Lopez and Roma’s medical staff agreed that the best course of action is to repair the injury through surgery.

The shot-stopper will go under the knife this weekend and is expected to be out of action for the next three months, according to Sky Sport.

It remains to be seen how this will impact Roma’s plans in the upcoming summer transfer market. Lopez was linked in previous month with a potential summer departure after lacking consistency in his performances.
