Despite a handful of nightmare performances to end his campaign, goalkeeper Pau Lopez has no intention of leaving Roma this summer.
Last summer, the Giallorossi invested over €25 million in the Spanish shot-stopper, who joined from Real Betis. Il Tempo reports that Lopez has no intention of leaving the Eternal City as he wants to relaunch his tenure at Roma and repay the trust the club has given to him.
In order to avoid a loss, the Giallorossi would have to sell Lopez for €20.4 million euros, a figure that hardly anyone will spend for him, at the moment.
Roma has already studied possible alternatives such as Napoli’s Alex Meret, Udinese’s Juan Musso and Salvatore Sirigu from Torino.
From those within Lopez’s entourage, though, the feeling is that a departure for the former Spurs man will be nearly impossible.
