Paulo Dybala a step away from extending Roma deal until 2026

Andy Mattioli

Paulo Dybala is in talks to extend his deal with Roma.

The Argentine attacker – who joined the Giallorossi in the summer of 2022 – has convinced Roma’s management to bet on him long-term, dismissing interest from top European clubs.

As reported by calciomercato.com, Roma GM Tiago Pinto stayed behind in Italy while Mourinho and his men travelled to Algarve for preseason training. The reason for Pinto’s stay could be explained by the recent arrival of Paulo Dybala’s agents.

The two parties are set to meet today and the Italian news portal confirms that Roma are optimistic with regards to Dybala’s contract extension.

The player will pen a new deal until 2026 that will entail a higher salary and the elimination of the present release clause valid both in Italy and abroad.
