Paulo Dybala did not take part in Argentina second and last friendly of this international break with Jamaica. Scaloni’s men won 3-0 with the Roma attacker watching his teammates from the stands.
The 28-year-old was excluded from Argentina’s friendlies due to his recent injury in the warmup session before Roma-Atalanta.
Despite leaving for international duty, Dybala is now ready to return to the capital and, as reported by Sky Sport, he is expected to start in Roma’s big match with Inter on Saturday night.
Last night, Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni said of Dybala’s exclusion: “The decision was made by all of us: me and the technical staff. We didn’t want to risk him.”
“He wanted to play but I preferred not to run any risks. He will continue with his club and then we’ll decide for the World Cup.”
