Roma attacker Paulo Dybala discussed the World Cup victory in tonight’s hard fought penalty shoot-out with France following the final whistle and post-match ceremony.
“This is a historic night for us,” Dybala told Clarin after the game. “The fans have been fantastic for the past month. We wanted to lift the cup and celebrate with them.”
“I couldn’t believe it after I suffered the injury in October. I wanted to come at all costs and I was at the limit of my strength.”
“I also have to thank the coaching staff of Argentina who came to Rome to monitor me and also thank the coach and everyone for what they have done here.”
