Roma attacker Paulo Dybala detailed his last minute recovery ahead of the World Cup in Qatar and the working relationship he shares with Giallorossi boss Jose Mourinho in a recent interview with Chinese channel Zhibo TV.
“I did everything I could to play the last match before the break with Roma,” said the ex-Juve man. “I spoke to Mourinho and during the week leading up to the match against Torino he asked me how I was feeling. I replied that if he needed me I would be available.”
“I entered the pitch, I felt good and my performance was positive. And that match also led to a call-up with Argentina. I did everything to recover and help the team against Torino.”
“I trained hard to be at 100%, and I did it by working a lot also with Mourinho with whom I have a beautiful relationship.”
“I’m a fan of movies set in ancient Rome, I watch them all the time. That’s why I think you have to take the field and fight like in real life, so I celebrate my goals with a mask, the one gladiators wore in fights.”
