Roma attacker Paulo Dybala is set to remain in the Italian capital at least until the end of the season.
The Argentine forward’s future has been questioned as of late since a release clause – valid only for foreign clubs – was activated at the start of the new year.
The release clause expired on 15 January, but in the meantime Dybala received is said to have received two proposals from Saudi Arabia.
According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dybala promptly rejected both offers with the intention to stay with Roma until the end of the season.
The attacker’s contract with the Giallorossi expires in 2025. Dybala is hoping that Roma reach out to discuss the possibility of renewing his deal.
However, a lot will depend on who the next sporting director is and what the club’s long-term strategy with will be like.
