Roma attacker Paulo Dybala shared an emotional message on Instagram following last night’s defeat in the Europa League final in Budapest.

Dybala – who was forced to come off in the early stages of the second half after scoring the opening goal of the might – wrote the following note to the fans.

“I’m so proud of US and proud of YOU, all the fans who followed us to Budapest and those who supported us from home and from the Olympico, regardless of the outcome, we gave our best!”

“Playing for this team is not just a sport or a job but an honour. We celebrated together during this journey and also wept tears of suffering that demonstrate how much we value this club and its fans. Always Forza Roma.”
