Paulo Dybala’s future is yet to be written after the player missed out on Argentina’s squad list for Copa America.
Despite a positive season with 16 goals and 9 assists to his name, Dybala did not make the cut for Argentina’s tournament in US and Canada.
The Roma attacker is bound to spend the next few weeks on holiday prior to his scheduled return to Trigoria ahead of the Giallorossi’s preseason training camp.
Dybala is set on staying in the Italian capital.
However, an important development will soon take place and which could also determine the player’s future.
As reported by Il Messaggero, the release clause of €12 million included in Dybala’s current deal will become active on July 1st and remain valid for all foreign clubs until July 31st.
Roma want to eliminate this clause, but in order to do it, the capital club would have to renew Dybala’s contract.
So far, the Giallorossi have not contacted the player’s entourage to pursue negotiations over a new deal for the 30-year-old.
