Ex-Roma manager Paulo Fonseca was recently asked whether he still follows his former team.

A year into his adventure at Lille, Fonseca admitted to still holding Roma in high regard.

“Since I left Rome, I have never talked about Mourinho’s arrival or his work at the club. I don’t intend to do so now,” Fonseca told Tuttomercatowen/

“Now I don’t follow Roma too much, I have to tell the truth, but they are always in my heart. It’s not right to make comparisons, to make evaluations when you’re not there. What I know is one thing: I like Roma very much, my heart is in Rome and I want them to always win.”

“There’s so many things that still link me with that club to this day. I was really happy at Roma. I liked everything, not only football, but also the country, the city of Rome, in Italy I spent two wonderful years.”
