Out of favor Roma attacker, Pedro, is closing in on a move to arch rivals Lazio.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Spaniard has agreed to a small wage reduction in order to join the Biancocelesti and reunite with Maurizio Sarri. Â
Roma are keen to move on from the attacker due to his large wages and have no objections to him joining their fierce city rivals. However, they are requesting a small amount of compensation for Pedro—which the clubs could link to the number of appearances he makes this season.
Roma manager Jose Mourinho froze the 34 year-old out from the first team and didn’t call him up for his side’s preseason training.
Executive Tiago Pinto has prioritised offloading the high-earning veterans at the club that have played little to no part over recent seasons, including Javier Pastore, Steven Nzonzi, and Federico Fazio.
