Both Il Messaggero and Corriere della Sera have reported today that Roma are close to finalising a deal for out-of-contract Chelsea attacker Pedro.
The Giallorossi have, reportedly, accelerated in recent days to acquire the Spaniard on a free transfer as the parties have agreed to a two-year contract worth €3.5 million (net) per season.
Roma boss Paulo Fonseca is already planning ways to implement the former Barca man into his side, which would include putting him on the wing as well as centrally as a “vice Dzeko”.
Given their financial limitations this summer, the Giallorossi are closing in on an important reinforcement on a free transfer.
