Spanish attacker Pedro – who played for Roma for a year before completing a controversial transfer to city rivals Lazio in 2021 – spoke about his Giallorossi past and the opportunity of facing Jose Mourinho’s side in the upcoming Derby della Capitale on Sunday.
“Scoring against Roma a year ago was very important for me,” Pedro told the official Serie A channel. “It allowed me to bond with the supporters and the club.”
“I was lucky enough to play for both clubs, but Lazio is a better fit for me and represents my values and personality, and style of play more accurately.”
“I can tell you that it will be an intense match,” he said of Sunday’s fixture. “There’s going to be lots of fouls, and we must be able to play our way in order to get the three points. It’s a crucial match and I will be ready to help the team with a goal if necessary.”
