Pellegrini ashamed of team performance: “Huge disappointment.”

Andy Mattioli

Lorenzo Pellegrini was asked to speak to the club’s official channels after Roma’s meltdown vs Juventus.

“At the end what matters is the result and today we took home zero points.”

“We always find seem to bump into these episodes that are hard to make sense of, because conceding 3 goals after you had dominated Juventus for 70 straight minutes, conceding three goals in that way is something that we have to concern ourselves with because it is not possible.”

“We have to get back to work and work on everything. As we said many times before, we’re undertaking this process together with the coach, but we are also tired of saying that we are in a process. We hope this improvement will happen as soon as possible.”

“For me personally it’s a huge disappointment. The happiness you have scoring the 3-1 of such an important match at home, then to concede 3 goals and have the chance to put the game back on the right track with another ten minutes left to play.”

“I’m so sorry, I’m sorry for my teammates because I would have given everyone, myself included, the possibility of putting things back in order and instead it did not happen.”
