Last night, Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini was forced to leave the pitch a quarter into the match against Torino. The 25-year-old signaled for a substitution.
According to Il Messaggero, Pellegrini suffered an injury to the thigh and is at serious risk of missing a few weeks of action.
Jose Mourinho admitted that the injury may keep the captain sidelined for a while.
Pellegrini is expected to undergo further tests in the coming days to assess the extent of the injury.
It remains highly unlikely for Roma to be able to rely on him in next week’s big match vs Inter.
