Pellegrini, Mkhitaryan train with the group ahead of Samp match

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca was banded a major boost today — just four days before his side resumes their Serie A campaign against Claudio Ranieri’s Sampdoria side.

The Portuguese manager welcomed back Lorenzo Pellegrini and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to full group training today. The pair have both been struggling with muscle fatigue over recent days, but trained without issue during today’s session, reports Sky Sport.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Pau Lopez remains a question mark for the clash next week. The Spaniard suffered a fracture to his wrist last month and has yet to return to full training.

Should the ex-Betis man not be able to play, he will be replaced by Antonio Mirante.
