Pellegrini still questionable for Genoa

Lorenzo Pellegrini has not been able to resume group training ever since playing a full 90 minutes against Venezia.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Pellegrini played through Roma’s 3-2 away loss whilst on painkillers to alleviate the inflammation in the left knee.

After leaving Italy’s retreat due to his poor condition, the Roma captain is still struggling with a swollen, painful knee.

Roma do not want to rush him back as they’re opting for therapy and individual training sessions.

His status for the Genoa game is still questionable: Pellegrini wants to be at Mourinho’s disposal but in case the pain in his knee were to stay the same, The Special One would have to replace him with either Mkhitaryan or Zaniolo.
