Pellegrini sustains injury to quadriceps: out for at least one month

Andy Mattioli
Lorenzo Pellegrini of Roma

Roma lose their captain in Lorenzo Pellegrini following his forced exit early on in the first half to Roma-Torino.

According to Angelo Mangiante of Sky Sport, Pellegrini underwent tests at Trigoria that revealed an injury to the quadriceps muscle of the right thigh.

The player is expected to miss at least one month of action and is thus looking at a return date in 2022.

Roma will have to do without their captain for a crucial stretch in early December, including Saturday’s big match vs Inter and Atalanta-Roma on December 18th.
