Andy Mattioli

Tonight’s battle between Roma and Milan will largely unfold in the middle of the pitch where Lorenzo Pellegrini is expected to have a big performance.

The Roma skipper will in fact feature in the team’s starting line-up one more time as Roma prepare to face the Rossoneri in the highly anticipated first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals.

Pellegrini’s main task – reports La Gazzetta dello Sport – will be limiting Milan’s Ismael Bennacer and his distribution.

According to the newspaper, Pellegrini will be tasked with tracking Bennacer and containing his movements and cutting his passing lanes.

In the meantime, Leandro Paredes and Bryan Cristante will focus on Loftus-Cheek and Reijnders, respectively.
