Lorenzo Pellegrini is preparing to officially begin the 2026-27 season with the Giallorossi.
The number 7 has returned to training with the group but has yet to be called up by Gasperini, given the physical issue that plagued him throughout the summer, preventing him from undergoing adequate athletic training.
The Giallorossi midfielder, after renewing his contract with Roma on August 8th, is ready to prove he’s still an important asset to the team. The worst is behind him.
After their comeback against Atalanta, Roma returned to training at Trigoria. Smiles, enthusiasm, and a desire to continue to impress.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gasperini has recovered Lorenzo Pellegrini. The No. 7, fresh from a new contract, has overcome all issues with his right thigh rectus femoris and has been training with the group for at least a week.
The Giallorossi midfielder is close to being called up for the Champions League debut against Fenerbahçe (Thursday, 6:45 PM). His debut, however, will likely have to wait until next Monday in Turin.
