Pellegrini to be rested against Wolfsberger, Mkhitaryan and Pau Lopez both OK

Some problems for Pellegrini, but everything is ok for Mkhitaryan and Pau Lopez. The first medical update of players who suffered problems against Lecce, as of now, appears to be positive and no names are expected to be added to the already long list of injured players, reports Il Tempo.

Fonseca granted the players a day off today as the only player who will be present at Trigoria is Lorenzo Pellegrini, whose case of plantar fasciitis will be further assessed. The midfielder, who immediately put ice on his foot once he came off the pitch against Lecce, was visibly limping after the match and will undoubtedly be rested for the mid-week Europa League clash to avoid worsening the situation. For Mkhitaryan, who was subbed off due to groin discomfort, and Pau Lopez, there are no problems as both will be available against Austrian side Wolfsberger.
