Pellegrini, Zaniolo linked with exits due to budgetary needs

Il Tempo journalist Alessandro Austini has written today that both Nicolo Zaniolo and Lorenzo Pellegrini could be sold this summer.

The Giallorossi released their third quarter financial results, which revealed the club’s debt has soared to €278.5 million. With president James Pallotta not lowering his asking price of €700 million, a potential sale of the club to The Friedkin Group is becoming less likely.

As a result, the Giallorossi could be forced to sell their two young jewels to offset their enormous financial losses: Zaniolo, who’s liked by Liverpool, and Pellegrini, who is being followed by PSG.

Roma will be forced to find a way to reduce losses and cut costs this summer, which could come at the expense of keeping two the club’s brightest prospects.
