Former Roma attacker Diego Perotti was presented today by Turkish club Fenerbahçe, whom he joined on a permanent deal earlier this week on the final day of the transfer window.
The Argentine discussed his move to Istanbul after having spent the past four and a half seasons in the Italian capital with the Giallorossi.
“It was a difficult decision for me to come here from Rome, but I think I made the right choice,” said the attacker.
“The atmosphere here is very similar to South America and teams such as Boca Juniors: the passion won me over. I’m 32 years old, I wanted to take this opportunity to come to a club like Fenerbahçe from Roma.”
“Ever since January, I’ve endured a tough spell. Everything became clearer the last few days of the transfer market and then we made a decision for me to join.”
