Perotti on the pre-season, Di Francesco, and more

Roma attacker Diego Perotti spoke today after the team’s training session in Boston, here is an excerpt of his words:

“We had a good match against PSG, it was not the result we wanted but they had started training before us and we did not suffer much against them. There are so many things to improve, the Mister is new and we have to understand what he wants but we are giving everything and so far we understand a bit of what he is asking: a compact team, high pressure, always playing forward, aim for the man then cut inside.”

“The new arrivals are doing very well, things will be easier with them here. Di Francesco’s style is different than Spalletti’s, so I think we’re doing our best in order to be ready for the upcoming season.”

Ünder? He is very strong, he has a good left foot, he has speed, he is maybe a bit small and may not have experience when there is contact so he has to gain some muscle but when someone is good you notice it right away, we understand that he will be an important player for us.”

“Physically? I trained well on holiday to get back in shape. We are working well and we are ready for the season, which should be beautiful.”
