Spal striker Andrea Petagna was interviewed by Sky Sport today and was asked about his future after having been linked heavily with a January move to Roma. Here’s what he had to say:
Many clubs are interested in you.
The president decides. I am a player who has scored 22 goals since coming here, I owe so much to the club and Semplici, who has always given me confidence. I’m happy here — but it’s clear that if an important offer arrives we’ll discuss what’s best for my career.
Did you chat with Dzeko during Roma-Spal?
He’s perhaps the strongest striker in Serie A, he made a joke and asked me if I had been afraid to shoot.
Would you go to Roma to be the vice-Dzeko?
Training with such a champion would be a dream, but right now I have to think about Spal. The club brought me here at a tough time and I want to do well here. Whatever happens (in the future) depends on so many things.
