Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has been acquitted after the Federal Prosecutor brought charges against him following his “slip of the tongue” in a summer press conference.
Petrachi, who officially joined Roma in July, had a gaffe during the unveiling press conference of Henrikh Mkhitaryan — when he stated he met with Inter in May regarding Edin Dzeko. This would have been a huge program for the Lecce-born director because he was still under contract with Torino at the time.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Petrachi has been cleared the charges, which accused him of a lack of loyalty towards his Torino contract.
