Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi continues to work diligently as the final two weeks of the transfer market have arrived. The Italian is working on completing the team of Fonseca while also trying to find solutions for those not in the plans of their manager. Though, there is also business related to those already at Roma: Nicolo Zaniolo will put pen to paper on a new contract.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that within the next 48 hours, Roma and the agent of Zaniolo, Claudio Vigorelli, will begin to draft the agreement for the contract renewal of the Giallorossi’s jewel. For now, there is a big distance between the request of Vigorelli (€2.3-€2.5 million per season) and the offer of Roma (€1.5-€1.7 million per season), but there is a strong desire to meet each other in the middle.

Meanwhile, Petrachi continues negotiations with Real Madrid for Mariano Diaz. The Spanish side remain firm on their €20 million asking price, but the Giallorossi sporting director is working on a loan formula to try and acquire the ex-Lyon striker.
