The next 48 hours are expected to be extremely busy for the market of Roma. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Petrachi will first try to close for Gianluca Mancini. Atalanta has lowered their asking price to €20 million plus bonuses. Meanwhile, Franco Baldini will continue his assault on Spurs to try and lure Alderweireld to Roma. The Belgian’s €28 million clause expires on 25 July and is the starting point from any negotiation. The Giallorossi, though, want to close the deal at less than €20 million. With which weapons? Essentially two: the contract agreement already found with the Belgian international, a three-year contract worth €3 million plus bonuses, and the fact Spurs could lose him for free next summer. The negotiation, though, could become even more complicated if the English side insist on Nicolo Zaniolo.
