Tuttomercatoweb has reported that the relationship between Roma and sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has become strained in the last two months.
Reportedly, after just one year, Petrachi could depart the club due to his rapport with the rest of the Giallorossi’s leadership fraying. Should the former Torino sporting director ultimately leave the club, a familiar face could return: Frederic Massara.
Massara, who left the club last summer to become the sporting director at Milan, could also see himself leave his current role after just one season. The Rossoneri continue to pursue Ralf Rangnick, who would be given a massive role within the club.
Should the German arrive at Milan, Massara would be considered a surplus to requirements. Given this, a third reunion with Roma cannot be ruled out since Massara still has strong ties to the club.
