Roma general manager Tiago Pinto was asked about the changes Jose Mourinho made to his team for the return leg of their Europa League tie against Real Sociedad.
Italian pair Andrea Belotti and Lorenzo Pellegrini returned to starting lineup for the Giallorossi, who sport a 2-0 aggregate lead, after missing out on last weekend’s defeat to Sassuolo.
“I was struck by their (Belotti & Pellegrini’s) approach over the past week after having the chance to be up and close personal with the two of them,” Pinto explained to Sky Sport.
“The way they carried themselves and did everything they could to return to the fold really made an impression on me.”
“Andrea underwent surgery (on his fractured wrist) and immediately returned to Trigoria. Meanwhile, Lorenzo is back after receiving 20-30 stitches in his head five days ago. These are an example to the rest of the team.”
