Pinto continues to pressure Santon into signing contract resolution

After agreeing to part ways with Federico Fazio – who after 6 years in the capital signed for Salernitana this past week – the Giallorossi continue to put pressure on Davide Santon to leave the club in the coming days, reports Il Messaggero.

The player, who had been excluded by Mourinho earlier in the summer, has rejected several offers from Italy and abroad including from Greece and Turkey, determined to see through the expiry of his contract in June this year.

Over the course of this weekend, General Manager Tiago Pinto will continue to push the player and his entourage towards a mutually agreed contract resolution.

If, by the end of the January window, a solution is not found for the 31-year-old full-back, Santon will continue to train on his own at Trigoria until he becomes a free agent in June.
