RomaPress – Roma General Director Tiago Pinto has landed in London within in the hour, with his primary focus being on a new striker.
The Giallorossi are in search of a new striker after Edin Dzeko flew to Milano today to undergo his medical examinations with Inter. The Bosnian will leave Roma for free and pen a two-year contract with the Nerazzurri.
To replace the 35 year-old, Pinto has his eyes fixated on two options: Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham and Zenit’s Sardar Azmoun.
First on the agenda, the Roma executive will meet with Abraham’s representatives, a meeting which was set-up by Italian agent Federico Pastorello, who is assisting with the deal.
Pinto will also meet with his close friend Fali Ramadani, the super-agent who has assisted in various negotiations involving the 26 year-old Azmoun and also represents the likes of Filip Kostic and Luka Jović.
The Iranian has made it clear to Zenit that he wants to leave and Ramadani has given Roma the priority for his signature.
