Pinto meeting with Pastore’s agent

Javier Pastore is just one of the several names that Roma are trying to offload before the transfer window shuts.

The former PSG man has been frozen out by the club following yet another season that was full of injuries. Pastore, who joined Roma in 2018, has tallied only 37 appearances for the Giallorossi since moving from PSG.

Furthermore, he earns an enormous €4.5 million (net) in wages per season with a contract that doesn’t expire until June 2023.

The capital club is desperate to move the Argentine in order to get him off their books and free some space in their wage bill.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that a meeting is underway in Milan between Roma executive Tiago Pinto and Pastore’s agent, Marcelo Simonian.

The pair are meeting to explore a potential contract rescission, which would formally end the midfielder’s time with the Giallorossi.

A buonuscita (a payoff) amount will also discussed. Roma will need to pay the Argentine a large figure in order for him to agree to terminate his deal.
