Pinto meets with Diawara’s agent, January exit difficult

John Solano

RomaPress – The transfer market has reopened and Roma are being linked with a number of incoming and outgoing deals following the arrival of Tiago Pinto, the club’s new General Director.

One player whose future remains a major question is that of midfielder Amadou Diawara. The Guinean international has seen a major decrease in his playing time and role after he missed over one month due to Coronavirus.

Coupled with the emergence of Gonzalo Villar, the former Bologna man now finds himself on the margins with manager Paulo Fonseca.

Diawara’s agent, Daniele Piraino, met via teleconference with Tiago Pinto this week to discuss the situation of his client, who hasn’t featured in the Giallorossi’s previous five league matches.

The parties agreed to evaluate any offers that they receive for the player, who would be willing to leave the Italian capital if a good opportunity presents itself this month.

However, a member of Diawara’s entourage admitted to RomaPress that it won’t be easy for a transfer to be completed this month.
