Even though the transfer market in Italy closed, Roma executive Tiago Pinto is still working to offload the team’s unwanted pieces.
After successfully reaching an agreement with Javier Pastore to terminate his contract, Roma were hoping to do the same with Davide Santon, Federico Fazio, and Steven Nzonzi.
Manager José Mourinho made it clear to the trio that they aren’t in his plans for the upcoming season. In addition, he informed them they won’t be reintegrated into the team even if they’re still at the club beyond the close of the transfer window.
Even though the transfer window in Italy is closed, calciomercato.com reports that Pinto will try to place the three in those markets that remain open, such as Turkey, Mexico, Russia, and many Arab countries.
