Plzen-Roma will be played under partially closed stadium

Adolf Sadek, general director of Viktoria Plzen, has issued a statement to the club’s official website after the UEFA disciplinary committee’s decision to close the more hostile areas of the stadium in the Europa League match against Roma. Here are his words:

“The entire club declares zero tolerance for any expression of racism and we will have no qualms about combatting such expressions. We intend to take all preventive measures to avoid a repeat of something similar. We will be ready to remove from the stadium all who do not intend to follow those rules. For our club, this is a huge loss in terms of economic impact and organizational perspective, but it is also a social loss. We reject all expressions of racism, not only in stadiums, but in society as a whole.”
