Midfielder Sérgio Oliveira’s transfer from Porto to Roma is nearly complete.
The Giallorossi reached an agreement with the Portuguese giants yesterday for the transfer of the 29 year-old to the Italian capital.
Oliveira will join the Italian club on loan for €1 million plus an option to buy worth €13.5 million. He’s expected to arrive in Rome tomorrow to undergo his medical examinations and sign his contract with the club.
Porto boss Sérgio Conceição was coy when asked to address the veteran midfielder’s transfer situation earlier today during a press conference.
“You’ll have to ask Tiago Pinto and José Mourinho if Sérgio Oliveira is about to join Roma or not,” he said according to Record.
“I assume they’ve been in discussions if they’re talking about him publicly. But the only thing I can say is that he has a contract with and is a player of FC Porto.”
