Porto foward Samu weighed in on his team’s European ambitions ahead of their Europa League playoff tie against Roma.
The two sides face-off in the first leg tomorrow evening at the Estádio do Dragão before next week’s return leg in the Italian capital.
“Porto is obligated to win and compete for every title,” he told UEFA.tv.
“The main goal was to get through the league phase, to be among the best and compete for the title. It will be a difficult game [against Roma], for us and for them. We’re a big club and we have to give our all to beat Roma.”
He continued, “I’ve always dreamt of becoming a top goalscorer at a big European club. I always want to be the best and help the team in any way I can.”
“Frankly, I’m quite happy (at Porto) and want to continue.”
