(Pre-match) Petrachi: “Schick? He’s been requested but they took a step back on the formula of the deal”.

Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi spoke to Sky Sport ahead of the Derby between Roma and Lazio. These are his words:

You play an attacking style of football. Was there an evolution during the week?
Let’s take a step back. People expect everything straight away, but Roma enacted a genuine revolution here, giving away 15 players and bringing in 8 so far. We appointed a young, ambitious and winning manager who has an attacking mentality. We have plenty of time to create a mentality along with all the players that have arrived.

Where is the negotiation at for Schick? Kalinic?
I find it very absurd that even today in Italy we talk about the transfer window being open on the second match day. The rules are made by those who have never played football and do not understand the feeling and anxiety of a player who has to move to another club. I hope we can change the rules. Today I’ll get 200 phone calls to offer me players 48 hours before the end of the window. Schick has been asked for but they took a few steps back on the formula (of the transfer). As for Kalinic, you’ve said it all: I’m waiting until tomorrow to see how things develop. But tonight I’m focused on the match.
