Primavera coach Alberto De Rossi helped carry his team to a 3-1 victory over Bologna earlier today. However, he could not rely on his leading goal-scorer, Felix Afena-Gyan, who is now regularly training with the first team.
Following the match, De Rossi was asked by the club’s official channels about Felix and seeing him gift Roma the much needed 3 points away at Genova.
“It was very emotional. Like all the previous times that other Primavera players made their debut with the senior team.”
“In a way they’re like our sons, and I know very well what goes on in their mind in those moments.”
He added:
“We put Felix in very good hands. I want to highlight the courage of our head coach in making that decision. Not many would have done it.”
