Primavera midfielder Giacomo Faticanti: “I owe everything to Roma.”

17-year-old Primavera midfielder Giacomo Faticanti discussed his aspirations and dreams of playing for Roma as well as his ambition to follow in Daniele De Rossi’s footsteps in a recent interview with Corriere dello Sport.

“In my eyes, Daniele De Rossi is the model to follow in terms of player characteristics and overall career,” said the youngster. “I wear the 16 jersey in his honor.”

“I was lucky enough to meet De Rossi recently, he’s like a mythic figure,” he added.

When asked about his idols in today’s footballing world, Faticanti replied, “There’s a lot of very good midfielders out there, but my favorite plays in Spain: Sergio Busquets. You can always learn something from him.”

Faticanti concluded, “I owe everything to Roma. Too bad for the Scudetto final that we lost with the Primavera, we deserved a different end to the season.”

“Wearing the Roma shirt is a great privilege that I hope to experience for many years to come. I want to write my story here.”
