Roma are looking to bounce back against Milan after suffering a painful defeat in the Derby with Lazio on Wednesday night.
The Giallorossi will face Milan in a packed San Siro without the likes of Paulo Dybala – out injured – and Sardar Azmoun – on international duty with Iran for the Asian Cup in Qatar.
As a result of the numerous absences in the squad including Smalling and Renato Sanches, Mourinho has decided to call up Joao Costa from the Primavera.
According to Il Messaggero, the 18-year-old – who made his senior debut in the match against Slavia Praha in the Europa League – is ready to come off the bench in the second half tonight.
Mourinho could in fact choose to replace one of his starting wing-backs with Costa who is a versatile forward and can play in defense and further forward, too. This would be Costa’s Serie A debut.
