Promising young midfielder Andrea Colpani of Monza and the Italian national team spoke about Roma legend Francesco Totti.
In his introductory press conference at Coverciano with Luciano Spalletti’s national team, Colpani spoke at length about his Roman idol.
“My biggest idol is Totti. The first memory I have with the national team is from 2006 and therefore I also think of him because of the penalty against Australia and how crucial it was,” said the 24-year-old.
“The thing I liked most about him was his imagination and vision. He could see things nobody else could. He had an infinite quality.”
Colpani made his first appearance in Italy’s squad after starting his second season in Serie A with 6 goals and 1 assist in 12 appearances.
