Following a series of positive performances, Pisilli slowly sank into a slump as Ivan Juric shifted his position on the pitch, forcing him to play outside his comfort zone behind the striker.
In recent games, Pisilli’s performances were clearly underwhelming, hinting at the player not fully integrated into the team’s system.
According to Il Messaggero, one of Ranieri’s priorities for his current tenure as Roma head coach is to preserve and protect Pisilli’s talent.
Just like with Matias Soule, Ranieri has been tasked to avoid wasting Pisilli’s talent and allowing him to flourish in the team, making him a pivotal presence in the middle of the pitch for the Giallorossi.
The plan is to have Pisilli get consistent minutes in the midfield without forcing him into situations where he might struggle.
