PSG could make Florenzi deal permanent if they lose out on Hakimi

Even though he’s currently occupied with national team duty, discussions regarding Alessandro Florenzi’s club future remain ongoing.

It was widely expected that the 30 year-old would return to the Italian capital following his season long loan spell at Paris Saint-Germain, who opened transfer talks for Inter’s Achraf Hakimi.

It appeared that the ex-Dortmund man was nearing an agreement to join the French side from Inter, who he joined just one year ago. However, the Parisians have been overtaken by Chelsea in their pursuit for the Moroccan.

As a result, PSG are reconsidering the idea of keeping Florenzi at the club.

Corriere dello Sport reports that the Italian’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, is scheduled to meet with PSG executive Leonardo next week to discuss the situation.

The French giants possess an option that could turn Florenzi’s loan deal into a permanent transfer for around €9 million.
